About Daryl
The son of an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard, Daryl spent his early years moving from New York to other parts of the country and back again, where ultimately he grew up. Intrigued by all things creative, Daryl pivoted from his Boston University political science training, to pursue his love of the visual, experiential and editorial space.
At PeakActivity, Daryl heads our creative and user experience practicesâmanaging and supporting teams focused on the intersection of our clientsâ branding, customer journeys and UX/UI needs. A lifelong lover of jazz, Daryl patterns his leadership and team building on the way the great bandleaders like Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Benny Goodman built and lead their bandsâby surrounding himself with the best talent he can find, giving them the framework in which to work, and let them bring individual talent and initiative to bear to produce the best and most-inspired product. And lastly, and perhaps most importantly, shining a spotlight on them to receive a clientâs appreciation.
Darylâs family is at the center of his universe. His daughter is a competitive rock-climber and he does everything he can to support and nurture her passion. When heâs not cheering on his daughter or driving her to a crag in Joshua Tree National Park, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area or some other such exquisite rock climbing destination, you will find him designing his landscape, working on personal creative projects or bombing down the hills of Southern California on his Santa Cruz Tallboy carbon 29er.
